Woke up early in the morning on Day 3 to visit a temple! A little detour from our original itinerary :)
Coated with splendid gold colour, this temple is a replica of Burma's most sacred temple, Shwedagon Pagoda.
The place itself is actually quite huge, with the pagoda as the main focus, it also has a numerous gardens, a vegetarian restaurant, souvenir shop, and also a 2 ponds!
Magnificent detail on almost everything!
Brother being random :O
Brother trying to attempt to look 'cool' /snort XD
The inside of the temple is beautiful too! Paid my respects here :)
Next up, we head to Maimoon palace, this place once housed many many of the Sultans.
The interior design of the palace brings you back in time and lets you imagine the Sultans' luxurious life.
There are actually descendants still living at the palace itself, which is quite to my amaze seeing that they still manage to keep their royal bloodline in check.
After a trip to Maimoon palace, it was the end of trip, and I didn't take any photos on Day 4, we just packed up and left Medan and head back to Malaysia.
But here's a little tidbit while we were shopping in one of the malls there.
Coco Crunch and Milo are considered 'instant' food. Fascinating.
